I have been pursuing photography in tandem with birding ever since I received my first digital camera eight years ago. Since then, I have been steadily upgrading my setup. Thanks to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, I currently shoot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III attached to a Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens and the Canon Extender EF 1.4X II.

For me, photography is subordinate to birding. I do not go out with the goal of obtaining better photos of a specific species, but rather opportunistically photograph what I come across on my birding jaunts. Nevertheless, I have amassed quite a large collection of photos over the years, currently sitting around 500 GB. Some sample photos are below.
